Samuel Sanford Hardin, Jr., 80, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006, at Golden Gate National Senior Care Center in Malden.
Born July 4, 1926, in Arkansas, son of the late Samuel Sanford Hardin, Sr., and Nellie Whitworth Hardin, he was a U.S. Army veteran.

In 1963, in Kennett, he married Pauline Wren, who survives.

Survivors also include three sons, Andy Garcia and wife, Marshanda, of Campbell, Mo., Floyd Lawrence and wife, Carmen, of Arlington, Texas and Howard Hardin, of Malden; two daughters, Sheila Hill and husband, Donnie, of Campbell and Teresa Richardson and husband, Terry, of Clarkton, Mo.; one brother, Frank Hardin, of Malden; one sister, Mildred Blackburn, of Parma, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Josephine McGee; six brothers, Joe, Hubert, Herbert, Lyle, Wendell and Bill Hardin and four grandchildren, Tony Garcia, Timothy and Angela Garcia and Kimberly Hill.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., today, Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leroy Young officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lynn Oak Cemetery at Clarkton.
