Services For Mrs. Christine Petersen Were Held Wed.
Services for Mrs. Christine Petersen, 82, of Fremont were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
Burial was at Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Noel Vetter of Salem Lutheran Church officiating.
Mrs. Petersen died Monday morning at Dodge County Community Hospital.
Christine Nielsen was born Sept. 26, 1887, at Blair, and was married February 17, 1904, at Orum to Carl E. Petersen. He died February 13, 1948.
A resident of Washington County, Minn. and Saunders Co. before moving to Fremont in 1961, Mrs. Petersen was a member of Salem Lutheran Church Women, THEO Club at Salem Lutheran, and Evergreen Chapter 138, Order of Eastern Star at Cedar Bluffs.
Survivors include a son, Alfred C. Petersen, Kansas City, Kansas; three daughters, Mrs. George (Myrtle) Boschult and Mrs. Donald (Evelyn) Fleming, both of Herman, and Mrs. William (Ellen) Kendrick, Chandler, Ariz.; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Ballinger, Slayton, Minn., Mrs. Alice Erickson, Mrs. Elizabeth Byam, and Mrs. Mildred Leverenz, all of Windom, Minn.; four brothers, Chris, Sioux Falls, S.D., Fred and Emmanuel, both of Walnut Grove, Minn.; and Hans, Windom, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grand-children; and two great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Salem Lutheran Church or the Cancer Fund.

In 1940, Christine was living with her husband, Carl, and her 15 year old daughter, Ellen, in Cedar Bluffs, Saunders, Nebraska. She and her husband were joint owners of a cafe.
All three of the above mentioned persons were born in Nebraska. Per the 1940 census, all were also living in Cedar Bluffs, Saunders, Nebraska.

Georgine Christine Neilsen's parents were Hans Peter Neilsen/Elizabeth Paulsen; both of whom were from Denmark. Christine was one of 13 children. Her mother's parents were Christoffer Paulsen and Fredricka (her father was Anton). Fredricka passed away and Christoffer remarried but I do not know to whom.

Carl E. and Christine Petersen had 6 children, Myrtle, Alfred, Clarence, Evelyn, Ellen, and Harry. Harry died as a young teen due to kidney disease.
