WEYMOUTH Norman G. Hawes passed away at the Queen Anne Nursing & Rehabilittion Center in Hingham October 5, 2009. He was 90 years old. Born in Quincy, he had lived many years in Weymouth. Norman was a machinist for 42 years at the former General Dynamics & Bethlehem Steel. Former member of the Weymouth Lodge of Elks he also enjoyed boating. Loving husband of 63 years to Eleanor A. (Wiedemann) Hawes. Father of Gordon N. married to Carol A. Hawes of Hanson. Beloved grandfather of Kaitlin M. Hawes fiance of Grant E. Preston of Duxbury. Funeral Service in the South Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, 809 Main St. (Rt.18 opposite South Shore Hospital) Saturday at 10:00 oclock. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 P.M.
