OBITUARY
Ogden – Muriel was often referred to as the "Ever-Ready Bunny". Many times it was believed that her battery would stop, but instead it kept going and going and going. Her battery did stop on October 3, 2009 in Ogden, Utah. Muriel was born June 18, 1924 to Edwin LeRoy and Cora Amelia Hansen Johnson in Avon, Utah.

She was raised in Avon, Paradise and Providence. As a young girl she was involved in 4H and voted the healthiest girl in Utah. During World War II she would drive down from Cache Valley and work at DDO as a forklift driver. Later she became the first woman in the state of Utah to hold a real estate license. She worked at First Security Bank and was later employed in the radio sales industry from which she retired after 20 plus years.

Muriel was married to Sid (Arsace Von) WEESE for 20 years until his death in 1965. Together they had 4 children, two of whom survived into adulthood. She later met the love of her life and married Wayne Brown Monroe on May 19, 1969. The two families quickly became close through her amazing capacity to love and the generosity she shared.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to dance, golf, play bridge, camp and travel-especially to Hawaii. She was active in Jaycees, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Elks Auxiliary and volunteered many years as a Pink Lady at St. Benedicts Hospital.

Friends and family were the highest priorities in Muriel's life. She especially enjoyed her golf and bridge buddies. She was so caring and touched the lives of everyone she met. Even in pain she would still joke and giggle making everyone feel as if things were great.

Muriel is survived by two daughters and a son, Coralyn (Joe) Reese, Tammy Weese, Jerry (Pam) Monroe; seven grandchildren, Darrin See, Jayme See, Randy (Michelle) See, Jeff (Melanie) Monroe, Mike (Nicky) Monroe, Brian (Michele) Monroe and Stephanie Monroe and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons Kent LeRoy and Randy Roy Weese; her sister Hermone Johnson, and her loving husband Wayne B. Monroe.

A special thanks to Rosie Wilde and Laura Smalley for their loving and devoted care.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2009 at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Friends may call on Thursday, October 8th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10: 45 a.m.

Interment in Washington Heights Memorial Park.

The family suggest donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, 182 South 600 East, Suite 100, SLC, UT 84102
