She was born on August 29, 1918 in Roll, Indiana to the late Jesse E. Dollar and the late Gladys O. (McClain) Dollar.
She married Marx Dwight Underwood "Dwight" on February 5, 1938. He precedes her in death on February 11, 1963. Her second husband, Mont E. Mc Dermitt died on May 29, 1994.
Orpha was a homemaker, wife and mother and she had formerly worked at Hartford City Hardware. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Blackford County Senior Citizens.
Orpha will be sadly missed by her sons, Charles E. (wife, Shirley) Underwood of Berkley, Michigan, Dennis K. Underwood of Hartford City, Daniel R. (wife, Virginia) Underwood of Marion, Dwight Underwood III of Hartford City, Tony L. (wife, Diana Underwood of Kalamazoo, Michigan; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Ray Anderson of Hartford City; several nieces and nephews.
Orpha is preceded in death by her parents; her 1st and 2nd husband; sons, Robert A. Underwood and Marx D. Underwood II; brothers, Paul Emery Dollar and Harold J. Dollar; and sister, Ruby Johnson.
Orpha will be cremated and there will be no visitation.
There will be a private Graveside Service at a later date at Montpelier IOOF Cemetery with her son, Daniel R. Underwood officiating.
