DORA BEE Horton SNODGRASS

Dora Bee Snodgrass Dora Bee Snodgrass 87 passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 21, 2009 at the Hospice Midland Inpatient Unit.
She was born March 2, 1922 in Comanche, Texas to the late Henry and Betty Horton.
Dora was raised and educated in the Comanche, Texas area. She later met and married the late Dave C. Snodgrass on November 13, 1942 in Earth, Texas. The couple moved to Midland in 1948.Dora had worked for J&S Laundry Mat for many years.
Dora was a very devout Christian and active Member of Calvary Assembly Of God Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren. Dora was always there for people that were in need.
Dora is preceded in death by her husband Dave C. Snodgrass; three sons: Hite D. Snodgrass, Charles Snodgrass, and Darrell Snodgrass; two daughters: Lucille Culp and Martha Mauldon;
four brothers: Buck Horton, Jack Horton, Bill Horton and Floyd Horton;
six sisters: Alice Savage, Lizzy Taylor, Helen Horton, Lola Taylor, Florence Snodgrass, and Verdie Jackson;
two great grandsons: Christopher Snodgrass and Jonathan Ayock. Dora is survived by her son, Dewey Wayne Snodgrass of Midland; three daughters, Barbara Ann Prestidge, Ruth Dalton and Donna and husband David Lewis all of Midland; Seventeen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren and numerous, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Family will be receiving friends on Thursday July 23 from 6-8 pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin. Funeral Service will take place Friday, July 24, 2009 a 3:00pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin with Brother Eddie Elliott officiating. Interment will be Saturday July 25 at Gouldbusk Cemetery in Gouldbusk, Texas.
