EUGENIA THRELKELD WILLIAMS, 86, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born on June 16, 1923, in Golconda, Illinois, to the late Frank Lamar and Roxie Trail Threlkeld. She grew up in Titusville, Florida, and graduated from Titusville High School. She also graduated from Jones Business College in Jacksonville, Florida. She retired from Sears in 1987 having first started working there in 1966. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Christian Home Builders' Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jack Hendry Williams.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Roxanne Williams Brown and Michael Brown of Valdosta; a son, Frank Caswell Williams; three grandchildren, Nathaniel Williams, Matthew Williams, and Sarah Grace Williams, all of Wetumpka, Alabama.

A graveside service for Eugenia Threlkeld Williams will be held at Sunset Hill Cemetery of Friday, September 25, 2009, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Mason, Jr., officiating. The family will receive friends at Carson McLane Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Valdosta, GA.
