Mrs. Eugene (Hattie) Paine of Cape Fair, Missouri, died June 5, 1967 in the Baptist hospital in Springfield, Missouri where she had been a patient since May 20. She was born in Neosho, Missouri in 1891. He husband was J. Eugene Paine, a retired Frisco engineer. They had lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas and Monett, Missouri and moved to Cape Fair in 1946 when he retired. They celebrated their golden anniversary in September 1965.

Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Eugene, and four grandchildren, Susan, Stevia, Sharman and Scott of Springfield; three sisters, Zoe and Claire of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Marie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

The funeral was held June 7 at 2 p.m. in the Manlove Mortuary in Crane, Missouri. Mr. Regis, Methodist minister officiated. Burial was in the family plot at Monett, Missouri.

Mr. Paine has a brother, Frank, who lives on Route 1, and three sisters; Leslie, Olga and Mrs. McBride of Van Buren, Arkansas.
