Sarah B. Leavell married Thomas V. Bates, being a soldier during the same war and is now deceased. They were the parents of several children, all of them dying young except two daughters, Ora and Mabel. Ora married a man by the name of Thomas, they being the parents of two children and now live in Marion, Ind. Mabel married William Walls, and they live in Elwood where they own their own home.
