Irma Jean Buchanan, 89, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, in Richardson, Texas. Jean was born Oct. 28, 1919 in Fayette County, Alabama to Felix and Vivian (Corbett) Musgrove. She spent her life serving others. She enjoyed working in her garden and fishing with her husband Clifton. She was an excellent cook, and was especially known for her coconut cream pies. Her greatest pleasure was being married for sixty wonderful years to her husband, Clifton. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton and her grandson David Knox.She is survived by her daughter, Mary Walraven and her husband, Russ. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Doug Knox of Kansas City, Mo; Leslye Hatch of Holly Springs, Mississippi; Russ Walraven, Jr. and his wife Amy of Huntsville, Alabama. She also has five great grandchildren: Greg Knox and Christina Knox of Kansas City, Mo.; Patrick, Debra and Tyler Sheffield of Holly Springs, Mississippi. Jean is also survived by her five great-great grandchildren.Graveside Services will be held Tuesday October 6, 2009 at 11:00 am at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home.
