Horace [Meredith] Davis, of St. Michael's, Maryland, a general practitioner of dental surgery, graduated from the University of Maryland Dental Department with the honers of class orator, and during his senior year he was winner of the Harris Gold Medal for the best non-cohesive gold filling in 1905. Besides these class honors, he also was elected to the equally honorable office of senator of the Psi Omega fraternity of the University.

Dr. Davis was born July 15, 1881, and is a son of Horace M. Davis, A.M., and Mary Emma Williams Davis. He received his early education in public schools in Poolesville, Maryland, and in 1902 matriculated at the dental department of this university, graduating with the degree of D.D.S. in 1905. Since then he has engaged in active practice at St. Michael's.

He married Miss [Lucia] Dodson, daughter of Dr. R. A. Dodson, of St. Michael's, a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
