Glen D. Stage, age 80, of New Westville, OH passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Heartland of Eaton. He was born July 21, 1929 in Gasper Twp., OH to the late David A. and Mary C. (Long) Stage. Glen was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean War; was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, Richmond, IN; was a Preble County 4-H advisor for over 30 years; and was a Pork Festival volunteer for over 30 years. He retired from Dayton Power & Light Company and was also employed with Kramer & Kramer Auctioneers of Eaton, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Arlayne C. Stage who passed away December 5, 2005; brother Charles Stage; and sister Betty Jane Stage.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Kent A. and Audrea L. Stage, Cambridge City, IN; daughter and son-in-law Katherine R. E. and Rob Helton of Liberty, IN; 5 grandchildren Brien (wife Jessica) Jackson, Dan Jackson, Craig Jackson, Cassandra Stage and Thorin Stage; great grandchildren Blake and Dylan Jackson; and sisters Doris Virginia (husband Wakefield) Dort of Lawrence, KS and Donna (husband Richard) Hoglund of Oak Ridge, TN.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, October 10, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church, Richmond, IN with Pastor Laura Altman officiating. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery, Richmond, IN. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at 12:00 Noon at the church.
