pub in the McFall, MO, Mirror on June 15, 1894 - OBITUARY - N. H. Lowery (sic) died at his home near McFall on May 31, 1894. He was born in North Carolina on Sept 16, 1832 and at the time of his death was 61yrs, 8mos, and 15das of age. He came to Missouri in 1859, but returned to North Carolina, where he was married to Miss Sarah Holt, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Holt on Feb 23, 1870. To this union were born 3 children, Samuel, Christina and Allen, who together with his wife, are left to mourn his loss. In his death the community loses one of its most worthy citizens. Mr. Lowery (sic) was an upright, honest and honorable man and fair in all his dealings. He was united with the Christian church and was a member of the Masonic fraternity. For 2yrs or more he had been afflicted with consumption, and for some time knew that his time on earth was drawing to a close. Calmly and patiently he awaited the call of his master with that fortitude and resignation that a Christian alone can endure. The remains were interred in the old Pattonsburg cemetery by the Masonic order.
