Vivian Earlene Dodson passed on to her Lord October 2, 2009. She was born November 9, 1952 in Anahuac, Texas to Lloyd and Marie Arnold. Vivian is preceded in death by her father Lloyd Arnold. Vivian graduated in 1971 from Conroe High School. She had been a resident of Willis, TX for the last 33 years.
Vivian is survived by her mother Marie Arnold of Burnet, Texas; loving husband Bobby Dodson of Willis; 2 sons Mica Dodson of Willis and Wesley Dodson of Burnet, Texas; one very special granddaughter Darian Dodson of Willis, TX; one sister and brother-in-law Alice and Robert Beierle of Burnet; and a host of nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins.
Vivian loved to travel and was always eager for the next adventure. She looked forward to her "play" time with her Ya Ya sisters, Debby, Janice, Andrea, and Mazie and the other friends who joined them in their special times. Vivian worked for many school districts before ending her career with Region VI in Huntsville where she made many friends who stayed with her until the end. She loved to go to the deer lease no matter what time of night to look at shooting stars. She's now one of those stars rocketing off to a new adventure making friends along the way but greatly missed by all those left behind. Thanks to Special Choice Hospice and Vivian's friend and loving caregiver Kathy Dalton who guided us all through this ordeal. We all miss you Viv.
Visitation with the family will be held Monday, October 5 from 6 – 8 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 6 at 2 PM in the Chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. Interment will be Wednesday, October 7 at 3 PM at Lakeland Hills Cemetery in Burnet, TX. You are invited to leave a written condolence to the family on our website at www.shmfh.com.
