She was born Aug. 17, 1980, in Ashland, Ky., the daughter of Nick Kitchen and the late Linda Sprouse Sommers.
She was the mother of Chloe Sue James, who died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009.
She was a 1998 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a home health care provider.
She is survived by her husband, Richard James; two daughters, Lindzee Knipp and Kyara Knipp; her father, Nick (Teri) Kitchen of Wellston; a brother, Jerry Kitchen, of Pedro; a sister, Merissa Baker of Wellston and a sister-in-law, Melissa Curtis of Xenia.
A combined funeral service for her and her daughter will be noon today at the Hillsboro Church of Christ with Rob Shoaff, Matt Robinson and Rodney Griffith officiating. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m.- noon today at Decatur Baptist Church in Pedro. The family requests memorials be made to the Hillsboro Church of Christ to help the family defray expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
