Norma was born on November 14, 1912, in Connersville, Indiana, the daughter of Clifford and Daisy (Schaefer) Rigor. She attended school in Connersville, Indiana. Norma married Floyd Bannister in 1925 in Connersville. Floyd preceded her in death on March 26, 1979.

Norma retired from E-systems in Huntington after 17 years of service and was a member of Moose Lodge #837 in Huntington.

Survivors include her two sons – James Bannister of Kokomo, Indiana, and Ralph E. (Carolyn) Bannister of Clyde, Ohio; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Mary Louise Reeder, one son, Kenneth E. Bannister and two sisters, Ogleane Reed and Minnie Rigor.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Monday (April 12, 2010) at Bailey-Love Mortuary. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday (April 12, 2010) at the Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Carrell officiating. Burial will be in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Cancer Fund in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.
