Jasper Carter, age 19, is then listed in 1870 Gilmer census; head of household is "Lauret Carter" (female, age 43) with children whose names/ages are similar to those in 1860 Fannin Co census. Nearby is a Duncan (sic) family with 2-3 young daughters who have middle initial of "E". Based on names of other neighbors, these families were in northeastern Gilmer Co, near the Gilmer-Fannin Co line.
