Solomon Andrew Wallace was born a son to William Luther Wallace and Francis Ann "Fannie" Long Wallace on 21 October 1901 in the Shady Grove (Neel) community of Morgan County, Alabama. He married Rubye Mae McDowra, a daughter of Birt S. McDowra and Helen Gray McDowra. Ruby preceded him in death. Mr. Wallace died on 27 September 1971 in Decatur, Alabama, at the age of 69.
