Mother of Moses Miller Norris and spouse of Samuel Norris.

After Malissa's husband Samuel died, she went to live with her daughter in Georgia. Malissa then visited her son in Texas to live and fell either getting on or off the train. Black Article- M. M. Norris of Mulberry Canyon had a bad thing happen to him this week. His mother, about 84 years of age, had started from Georgia to visit him and make her home with him. She got off the train at Big Sandy and in getting off was badly hurt. She was not noticed at the time but was missed soon after and a telegram was sent back. She was found on the road a little ways from there and was taken to Minneola, where she soon after died, and her remains were sent on to Merkel. And so the mother, whom Mr. Norris had not seen for about thirty years, was a corpse when she reached him.The only conclusion as to her cause for leaving the train at Big Sandy was that in her anxiety to reach her destination and see her son she possibly thought that was the place at which she was to stop. Mr. Norris has our sympathies.
