Bertha Clara Williams, 97, 106 N. Beltline, Garland, died at the Serenity Nursing Home in Garland, Friday, 21 Sep 1990. Services will be held in Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, 23 Sep. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Deport.
Mrs. Williams was born 12 Jan 1893, in Benton, Ark. She married Earnest William White who died 17 Aug 1953. She married Will Williams who died in 1966. She was a member of the Seventh Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Marshall White of San Antonio, Vaughn White of San Antonio and Houston White of Garland; two sisters, Ruth Clarkson of Paris and Mae Slaughter of Detroit, Texas, eight grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Beulah White, and a son, Austin White.
