Services for Carole E. Farmer, 95, Thomasville, GA, are 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 6, 2009, from graveside in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Thomasville, GA. The Rev. Russell Elkins will officiate. Mrs. Farmer passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Presbyterian Home in Quitman, GA.
Born May 14, 1914 in Grady County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Green Berry Elkins and Emily Sasser Elkins. She was married to Patten H. Farmer, who died on September 8, 1986. She was a home maker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: nephews, Bob Ward of Cairo, GA, David Elkins of Cairo, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Farmer was preceded in death by: parents, Green Berry and Emily Sasser Elkins; sisters, Goldie Elkins Hunt, Estelle Elkins Thomas, Alma Elkins England, Nell Elkins Ward; brothers, Ivey Elkins, Pearce Elkins, and Slater Elkins.
The family will receive friends prior to the graveside service in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
