CEDAR FALLS - Jason D.D. Gage, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009 at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

He was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Elkader, son of Arthur and Cornelia Yearous Gage. He married Anna Marie Stephens on Aug. 19, 1944, in Waterloo. She died June 12, 2008.

Mr. Gage served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He owned and operated a plumbing business for many years.

Survived by three sons, Melvin (Sue) and Ronald (Mindy), both of Waterloo, and Roger (Rebecca) of Lawler; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lena Schichtl of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by grandson; four brothers, Levi, Milliard, Al and Clifford; and a sister, Catherine Koons.

Family-directed graveside services 3 p.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is assisting the family.
