In 1982, Lloyd retired from Ford after 24 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Mansfield Ohio VFW, the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 245 and the Ripley Community Church in Greenwich, and he attended services at the North Lake Baptist Church in South Amherst Ohio.
He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bowling and golfing. Lloyd's favorite pastimes were pitching horseshoes and watching horse pulls.
Survivors include his daughters, Alice (Robert) Swartz of Wakeman Ohio, Phyllis (Paul) Booth of Wellington Ohio, Karen (James) Birchfield of Wellington Ohio, Sue (Dan) Straight of Phoenix Arizona, and Sharon (Dennis) Goodwin of West Virginia; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Lloyd is also survived by 3 siblings, Dorothy Norton of West Salem Ohio, Doris Shreffler of Elyria Ohio, and Richard Trigg of California.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (nee Knecht) Trigg whom he married Dec 4 1938; his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Frank Murr; 3 granddaughters; 3 great grandchildren and 5 siblings, Lena Albright, Gertrude Boyd, Clarence, Charles and Ralph Trigg.
Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral service will be on Monday, April 27 at the North Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 323 N. Lake, South Amherst, OH 44001, with Pastor Carson Fraley officiating.
