Louise was born to Petra and Lars Hoem, she was one of seven children, the last being Esther Woods who lives in Kittitas, Washington with her husband Roger. Louise lived her entire life on Magnolia Bluff where she and her husband, Otto, who preceded her in death in 1983, had been active in the community. A charter member of Magnolia Lutheran Church, Louise also served as PTA President of Lawton Schoo, was a Scout den mother, and served on the committee that created Lawton Park. Early in her life she was employed by Albers Flour Mill and Later by Frederick and Nelson. While raising their own family, Louise and Otto provided loving care to over twenty foster children and adopted one of these children, Mariann, who died in 1983. Louise was much loved by a large family which included four sons and their wives: Robert and Sarah of Issaquah, Gordon and Babara of Sunnyside, Duane and Anna Marie of Seattle, and Steven and Irene of Seattle, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Louise was buried at Evergreen Washielli's Pacific Lutheran Cemetery.
