military bio for Floyd W Barron is from Men & Women in WW II from Lincoln, Morehouse & Union Parishes (1946)

"PFC Floyd W. Barron, son of Mr. & Mrs. J.A. Barron of Lillie. Entered Marines in 1941, trained in San Diego, California. Served in PTO. Awarded Purple Heart, APO Medal, AD Medal and Memory Scroll.

He served on the USS Houston during World War II. Wesley went MIA during the Battle of the Java Sea in the Pacific Ocean. His body was never recovered
