BEULAH ANDERSEN CALLED

Beulah Christine Andersen, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mads Andersen, was born near Nelson, Nebraska, January 17, 1914, and died at their home north of Cadams on November 3, 1917, being of the age of 3 years, 9 months and 14 days. She is survived by her parents and two sisters, Gladys and Erma, who are heart-broken over the loss they have sustained. She was a great favorite among the relatives, friends and neighbors, on account of her sweet and winning ways. At the age of six months she received Christian baptism and was always such an exceptionally good child that many times the mother and fond grandparents had wondered if they would be permitted to keep her. She possessed a bright, happy and generous disposition, giving up any little childish treasure, never asking or seeming to expect it back. During the two week's illness she never cried or complained, but bore her suffering patiently until at last she peacefully fell asleep to awaken in that celestial land where all is joy and peace forever. Sunday afternoon, at the Cadams Presbyterian church (sic), where dear little Beulah so delighted to go to Sunday school, Rev. Livers of Hardy, spoke eloquent and comforting words concerning the beautiful child life and the little form was laid to rest in the Ruskin cemetery.

Only a baby's grave - a foot or two at the most,
Of tear-dewed sod; but a loving God
Knows what the little grave cost.
Only a baby's life - brief as a perfumed kiss,
So fleet it goes but our Father knows
We are nearer to Him for this.

CAID (sic) OF THANKS.

We wish to thank our friends and neighbors for the floral offering, the many acts of kindness and sympathy extended us, during the illness and death of our beloved daughter and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Mads Andersen and daughters.
