She was born Nov. 3, 1913, in Penfield. She lived in the Wellington area and in Kipton, and when she was 90, she moved to Vermilion. She wintered in Eustis, Fla., for 35 years.
Mrs. Sharp was a 60-year member of the Oberlin and Henrietta Grange and a member of the Camden Garden Club, Camden Township Firewomen's Auxiliary, Kipton Community Church, Kipton Ladies Aid Society, Lorain County Ponoma Grange, Oberlin Camera Club, Tin Can Tourist Club and EMH Regional Medical Center Warm Hands Warm Hearts. He was also a 4-H advisor.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing, and had traveled in at least 40 states.
Survivors include her son, William J. Sharp of Wakeman; daughter, Wilma J. Coats of Vermilion; stepson, Irwin E. Sharp of Wellington; and four grandchildren, two
great-grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin L. Sharp Sr.; parents, Elsie Mae Palmer and Roland J. Palmer; sisters Lena and Bessie; and stepson, Darwin L. Sharp Jr.
Friends may call Friday, 6 to 9 p.m., at Cowling Funeral Home, 228 S. Main St., Oberlin, where services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. David Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Camden Cemetery.
