He was born March 16, 1941, in Ravenna. Plott was a blacksmith for 38 years and also farmed part-time. He showed horses and went to many county fairs. He enjoyed his grandchildren, golf and having coffee and cookies. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1959.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Lorna (nee Radcliffe); daughter, Jodie Hayes of Wellington; brother, Clifton Plott of Woodburn, Ind.; sister, Jane Cobes of Bryan, Texas; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Florence (nee Deuschle) Plott.
Friends may call Friday, 4 to 8 p.m., at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, where services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. Pastor Chuck Livermore of Kipton Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Camden Cemetery.
