Mr. Koberstein was born Sept. 18, 1917, in Clatskanie . During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in the Pacific. A watchmaker, he owned Roy's Watch Shop in Hillsdale for about 30 years before retiring in the early 1980s. In 1951, he married Alline Brock; she died in 1984.
Survivors include his sister, Eva Bryant of Battle Ground, Wash.; and sister-in-law, Eula of Portland.
Interment is in Maplewood Cemetery in Clatskanie
