MRS. CHAS. F. CRISP PASSES AWAY

After a brief illness, Mrs. Charles F. Crisp died at her home at Americus on Tuesday morning. She was a widow of the late Charles F. Crisp, speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon. Before her marriage, Mrs. Crisp was Miss Clara Burton, of Ellaville. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carr S. Glover and Mrs. G.F. Davenport, and two sons, Judge Charles R. and Frederick Crisp, and a sister Mrs. J.N. Scarbrough. She was 59 years of age.

[Additional notes from Ernie Jones, Member #47671495 --- 1880 Census shows children as: Leila, Charles R., Walter, Mattie, Eddie and Berta Mae. It would appear likely that son
"Frederick Crisp" mentioned near the end of the obituary is the same person as "Eddie" listed in the 1880 census. Clara's son Walter had died previously, in 1891, and Frederick's memorial in this cemetery (#42662251) shows his birth as Dec 1877, and that he was still living when Clara died. That matches Eddie's age in the June 1880 census. Possibly named Edward Frederick or Frederick Edward.]
