Funeral services for Nancy C. Hurt, 59, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, with buried in the Hurt Cemetery near Milano. Minister Wayne McGambie of the Church of Christ officiated.

Mrs. Hurt died Sunday, June 7, in Richards Memorial Hospital. She had lived in Milano for 44 years and was a lifelong resident of Milam County.

She was born Oct. 5, 1932, in Milam County to Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Avery (Nancy Beatrice Butler) Galbreath. She and Jesse Ray Hurt were married Feb 16, 1948, in Cameron.

Mrs. Hurt was preceding in death by her father, Virgil Avery Galbreath, in 1969.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse Ray Hurt of Milano; sons and daughters-in-law, Virgil and Danice Hurt, Johnny and Vicky Hurt and Streeter Hurt, all of Milano; her mother, Beatrice Galbreath of Caldwell; three brothers, George Galbreath of Caldwell, John Galbreath of Caldwell, and Odis Galbreath of Angleton; two sisters, Anna Lee Bills of Bryan, and Barbara Storm of Houston; also, three grandchildren, Jessica, J. R. and Shanna.

Pallbearers were George Storm Jr., George Galbreath Jr., Gary Galbreath, Clint Bills, Chester Hays, Bobby Coldiron.

Mrs. Hurt was a member of Sand Grove Church of Christ. She enjoyed bowling and bingo.
