Lloyd Kreischer, 74, of 815 Dierkes Street, retired General Electric Co. employee, died at 6:10 a.m. today at the Adams County Memorial Hospital. He had been ill for the past week and hospitalized for three days.
He was born at Wren, O., Dec. 24, 1895, a son of Adam and Charity Wager-Kreischer.
Mr. Kreischer, who was retired from the Decatur G. E. plant after many years of service, was a member of the Baptist Church, the G.E. Quarter Century Club, Veterans of World War I, American Legion Post 43, and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Surviving is his wife, Pearl, to whom he was married Feb. 4, 1919; two daughters, Mrs. John (Bernice) Espich of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Calvin (Goldine) Magley of Decatur; one son, Robert Kreischer, at home; seven sisters, Mrs. Doss (Almira) Hunter of Ohio City, O., Mrs. Ross (Opal) Cooke of Holt, Mich., Mrs. Leo (Wava) High of Boyne Falls, Mich., Mrs. Herman (Claire) Brown of Decatur, Mrs. Kenneth (Treva) Cooke of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. Erwin (Margaret) Gehres and Mrs. Bill (Eileen) Bland, both of Wren; one brother, Darrell Kreischer of Decatur; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Winteregg-Linn Funeral Home, with Rev. Leroy E. Rusher officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 12 noon Saturday until time of the services. Moose memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. American Legion Post 43 will conduct military services at the grave.
