Mrs. Ruby Fulford Parker, age 89, a native and lifelong resident of Taylor County, Fl, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Marshall Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Elmer Fulford and Aluina Irene Poppell. Mrs. Parker was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was also a member of the Woodmen of the World, she sold Tupperware, and worked as a Librarian Aid when it first opened. She worked at the Emporium in Perry, and was known as "MeMaw" at Jack and Jill's Day Care. She enjoyed fishing, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and game shows. She was an avid bowler when she was younger and enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Marcus Parker in May 2009, a daughter, Margaret "Elaine" Smith, 2 brothers. Troy Fulford, E. P. Fulford, and a sister, Sadie Stallings. Survived by 2 sons, Melvin T. Parker and wife Marcia, and Herb Parker, all of Perry, FL; 2 daughters; Gloria Smith and husband Eric of Jacksonville, FL, Marilyn Baumgardner and husband Mike of Perry, (13) grandchildren, (21) great- grandchildren, and (2) great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. J.T. Taylor, Bro. Wallace Holmes and Bro. Tommie Stanaland officiating.
