Winnsboro - Services for Ruby Brown Hungerpiller, 93, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998, at First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, with burial at 3 p.m. in First Baptist Church Cemetery of Elloree. Rev. Todd Smith and Rev. James P. Blackwelder will officiate. The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Pope Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Mrs. Hungerpiller died Sunday, Nov. 22, 1998. Born in Elloree, Oct. 4, 1905, she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Mattie Wertz Brown. She was the widow of Emmett S. Hungerpiller. Mrs. Hungerpiller was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, the Ladies Sunday School Class, Women's Missionary Union and the Sunshine Club.
Surviving are her son, E. Samuel "Sam" Hungerpiller of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Chris Blackwelder and Connie Hungeriller, both of Winnsboro, Kathy McGarity of Blackstock and Fran Walter of Florence; nine great-grandchildren.
