Mary Fern, was born July 9, 1900, in Coyle, Ok. to Edwin and Cassandra Darby. She died at the Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon, Ok. on Jan. 22, 1996, at the age of 95 years. She was married to Roscoe Franklin McClung on May 20, 1916. They had a wonderfully happy marriage, which lasted for 75 years. Mary was a true wife and mother. Her love for her family was first in everything. She was always there to praise, encourage, and assure in any way that she could. This extended to her many friends. S he was a current member of the Waterloo Church of the Nazarene, participating in mission groups, Bible studies, and many of the social events. Previously, she and her husband had been members of Edmond First Church of the Nazarene. She was a longtime resident of Edmond, moving there in Jan. 1937. She made many friends and they loved her wonderful foods and delightful fellowship. Her current residence was Ranchwood Nursing Center, where she was greatly loved by the nurses and other residents. Her life was a living example of God's love. She was a pattern for the best in life. She will always be greatly missed, but the wonderful memories shall always remain. We love you Mother and Grandmother! She is survived by a son, Clifford and his wife Paula of T ulsa; a daughter, Jeane and her husband Bill of Bethany; 5 grandchildren, Marquita, Johnny, Maria, Melissa and Scott; 6 great grandchildren, Kimberley, Johnny, David, Cody, Cole and Miranda. She had several loving nieces, nephews and other relatives.
