James Earl "Jim" Brady passed away in San Juan Capistrano, CA on 9/2/2009.


Born in Delhi, LA on 11/15/1939, he graduated from Bolton High School in Alexandria, LA and Louisiana College at which time he received an officer's commission in the U.S. Navy. He was a Lieutenant who served as his ship's navigator and was awarded several medals including the Viet Nam Service Medal with Bronze Star and Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V. Upon discharge from his country's service he spent the next 42 years as a resident of Orange County, CA and worked as a commercial real estate appraiser.


Jim is survived by his loving son, John H. R. Brady, Aliso Viejo, CA; Jan Gale, a long time companion; his brother, Charles Brady, Baton Rouge, LA.; Dorothy Sanson Brady, Houston, TX. He was predeceased by his father, James Bernard Brady; mother, Mary Elizabeth Scroggs Brady; sisters, Sue Latourneau and Barbara Ann Puffer. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews around the country as well as his very special friends who will miss this loving father and companion.


Funeral Services will be held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA on 10/9/2009 at 3:00 p.m.
