William Joseph Langhammer, 84, of Clarence, was found dead at about 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 2nd north of Clarence.

Mr. Langhammer was born September 24, 1887, in Iowa, the son of Joseph and Otilia Fisher Langhammer. He was first married to Rebecca Peoples on January 11, 1911.

After her death he was married to Lena Walker Rose on June 3, 1950. He is survived by his wife, a sister, Mrs. Clara Bagley(sic) of Independence, Iowa; one brother, Albert Langhammer, Kansas City, Mo.; twelve children, 5 sons and 7 daughters--E.J. Langhammer, Clarence; Sister Mary Claudia (Florence), Benedictine Convent, Clyde, Mo.; Mrs. Garland Strachan (Mildred), West Point, Iowa; Mrs. Charles Callaway (Christine), Shelbina; Mrs. Bill Paschal (Rose) Richmond, California; Mark Langhammer, Shelbina; Frank Langhammer, Leonard; Mrs. Paul Kile (Adella), Peru, Indiana; Mrs. Frank Vroyles(sic) (Catherine), Florrisant, Mo.; Mrs. Allan Cheatum (Helen), Novelty; Ted Langhammer, Magnolia, Texas; Jerry Langhammer, Houston, Texas. And one step-daughter, Mrs. June Burkhardt, Paris. One child died in infancy. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Services were held this morning, Wednesday, April 5th, at St. Patrick Church, Clarence with Father Albert Brincat officiating and burial was in St. Michael Cemetery.
