Daughter of Owen & Ann Owens; Originally buried on section 52; lot 17; Reburial on Dec. 19, 1856 to section 79

Wife of Henry

Died from childbirth fever brought on by an explosion at the
factory. Husband, Henry, had gone to factory to rescue a
fireman from the wreckage caused by a boiler explosion. His
appearance coming up the hill home later so frightened Eliz-
abeth that she gave birth prematurely to son Henry and died
10 days later.
Information from notes handwritten by Cornelia Atkins Espach
She died in the Baum Street House.
Her birthdate is in question. Some sources indicate that she
was born in the year 1823 with no day or month stated.
Also she was born in the same house as her daughter, Anna, on
Elm Street near 7th.

Elizabeth is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery. Record #4406 indicates she was born in Cincinnati October 13, 1823 and died there June 5, 1855. She was interred on June 6, 1855 in section 52, Lot 17 but then was removed to Section 79, Lot 7; space 2 on December 19 1856. There is no cause of death listed.
