"My father's name was Samuel Gray. He was born in Dorsetshire Old England about the year 1657. My mother's maiden name was Susan Langdon. She was born in Plymouth, Devonshire England. My father died in Boston in the 48th year of his age. My mother remained a widow till her death, and died in Boston, at my sister Gibbon's. She was between 80 and 90 years old when she died, I suspose. My mother had 15 living children. Since my recollection there were 10 of us living together."
