Funeral Services were held Saturday in the Clinkingbeard Chapel for Sherman Green 78, Hardenville, with the Rev. Marlin McGinnis officiating. Mr. Green, a retired farmer, died Thursdayin the Medi-Center of America at Springfield after a three-week's illness.He was a member of the General Baptist Church. Mr. Green was born Feb. 4, 1893 at Zanoni, the son of George and Nancy Strong Green. He was married to Ida Miller, who survives, at Gainesville on Dec 7, 1912.

Other survivors besides his wife are three sons, Roy and Clifford, both of Hardenville and Troy, Elkland; A daughter, Mrs. Pearlie Blacksher, Springfield, a sister, Mrs. Phebia Simpson, Yale, Okla., three half-brothers, Columbus Satterfield, Yale, Okla.; Shed Satterfield, West Plains, and Mose Satterfield, state of South Carolina.

Burial was in Patrick Cemetery. The Pallbearers were Jim Boband, Bill Green, Garland Blacksher, David Stevens and Jake Miller.
