Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McPeters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Morton officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Abel and wife, Joyce Quesenberry, of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Ruth Ellen Abel Nelms and husband, Larry, of Centennial, Colo.; a brother, W. C. Morton of Corinth; two sisters, Bernice Parvin of Corinth and Ann Kuykendall of Memphis; five grandchildren, Leigh Sperry, David Abel, Katie Abel, Hampton Helms and Emily Crooks; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Abel; three sisters, Willie Mae Ketcham, Kate Elliott and Gearldine West; and four brothers, J. W. Morton, Howard Morton, Vance Morton and Clovis Morton.
