IUKA - Myrtle Nunley Curtis, 75, died Monday, April 18, 2005, at Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka. She was a member of the Iuka Baptist Church. She retired from Mississippi College after working in the postal department for 25 years. She enjoyed walking, flowers, gardening and especially her grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Jim Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Benny L. Curtis of Iuka; a son, Ron Curtis and wife, Patti, of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Melinda Rees and husband, Dr. Matt Rees, of Rutherfordton, N.C.; two brothers, Dewey Nunley of Iuka and George Nunley of Ozark, Mo.; two sisters, Maye Floyd and Faye Helton, both of Iuka; five grandchildren, Maggie, Claire and Lee Curtis, all of Charlotte, N.C., and Hannah and Emma Rees, both of Rutherfordton, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dude and Annie Nunley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Stroke Association, National Center, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
