Elbert Brown was born Friday, April 16, 1869 to Lewis Martin Brown and Martha Louise White Brown.

He married Frances Isabell Ball on Sunday, May 12, 1889 in Morgan County, Alabama.

E. M. BROWN DIES AT HIS HOME HERE

E. M. Brown, who succumbed Saturday night to a two months illness, was laid to rest Sunday afternoon.

Mr. Brown died at 7:30 o'clock Saturday evening at his home, 1121 West Moulton street.

He was 66 years of age and is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. J. F. Franklin and Mrs. W. R. Brown of Decatur route three; two sons, E. E. and W. W. Brown of Decatur; five sisters and four brothers.

The body was removed to Drinkard and Howell's and prepared for burial later being returned to their residence.

Funeral services were conducted at the West Decatur church by Rev. T. H. Wilson, the pastor, assisted by Rev. James Allen Smith. Interment was made in Johnson's Chapel.
