Her obituary from the February 10, 1927 Republican:

Amanda Alice Collingsworth, daughter of William and Jane Collingsworth, was born September 15, 1863, in Morgan county, and departed this life January 24, 1927, aged 63 years 4 months and 9 days. Her mother, and infant brother, and her sister, Cora, preceded her to the land beyond the grave. She was left motherless at the age of six years, and at the age of twelve, she took the entire responsibilities of her father's home, caring for her father and family until a short time before her death. At that time her health failed, and she was was taken to the Methodist hospital for treatment, but nothing could prolong her life. She was an affectionate daughter and sister, and a good friend and neighbor, and will be greatly missed, but most of all by her father now in his 91st year. She said she was ready to go and her last worlds were for the welfare of her aged father she had so nobly cared for so long. She is survived by her father and two brothers, Grant of Indianapolis, and Everett who lives southeast of Amo. Funeral services were held in Stilesville Christian church, January 26, by Rev. William Stalling. Burial in Stilesville cemetery.
