CURTIS PEACE

Curtis was born to John Cleveland Peace and Rosella McCrae, July 22, 1899 in Shelby County, Texas. He died October 28, 1967 in Shelby County, Texas. He was the oldest child of Rosella.

Curtis Peace married Susie Emma Holmes, March 31, 1926 in Shelby County, Texas.

Curtis was a Baptist minister, and preached all over Shelby County, Texas.

While growing up and even after he was grown, he spent a lot of time with his half sister, Modenia Peace Pate. They had a good relationship! He thought, he was one of her children. Uncle Curtis decided to attend college in Nacogdoches, Texas. He asked Modenia and John Daniel Pate to move there and help him go to college. He promised them when he finished college that he would buy them a Jersey milk cow. They moved and when he finished college, he bought them two Jersey milk cows.

Uncle Curtis and Aunt Susie were always well dressed, very clean, and good people.
