DONNA ROSE BAILEY OVERKAMP

Donna Rose (Bailey) Overkamp, of Phoenix, Arizona, loving wife of Roger Overkamp, was embraced by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 25, 2009. Donna was born in Cotton Valley, Louisiana, on the 18th of May 1948, to Leo F. and Bernice Maxine (Fagg) Bailey, Bernice passed away when Donna was only six months old. Leo Married Lady Mae Benefield when Donna was sixteen months old. Donna graduated from Woodlawn High Schol (Class of 1966) and Ayers Business College in Shreveport, Louisiana. She had a very fulfilling career, which included working alongside her husband in the Electrical Wholesale Supply business in Shreveport, as an independent Lighting Manufacturers representative in Tucson, Arizona, and concluded her career in the Human Resources Department of the Super K-Mart near her home in Phoenix. Survivors include her husband, Roger of the home; son Greg Rambin and wife, Vicky, of Morringsport, Louisiana; her step son, Ryan Overkamp of New Orleans; father, Leo F. Bailey and wife, Ruby of Minden, Louisiana; mother, Lady Mae Talley and husband, James of Homer, Louisiana; sisters, Rala Allen and husband, Frank, of Saint Joseph, Missouri; Frances Bragg and husband, Charlie, of Tyler, Texas; step sister, Betty Skinner, and husband, David, of New Braunfels, Texas, who are among numerous other family members. Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 405 E. 5th Street, Homer, Louisiana, Friday, October 2 from 5-7 pm. Services will be at 10 am, Saturday, October 3 at the funeral home. Donna will be laid to rest in Pilgrim's Rest next to her birth mother, Bernice, in Shongaloo, Louisiana. A memorial service will be held in celebration of Donna's life in Phoenix at a later time which is yet to be determined.
