Obituary Text: Clinton Courier Oct.24, 1990 Charles James Ford Funeral services were held Oct.18 at Clinton Funeral Home Chapel for Charles James Ford, 71, of Clinton Rt.8. Mr. Ford died Oct.15 at his home. The Rev.Homer Bean and the Rev. Hubert Marlow officiated. Burial was in the Dutch Valley United Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Ford was born Aug.19, 1919 and was reared in Campbell County. His parents were the late Wils Howard and Margaret Weaver Ford. He was a retired employee of Anderson County Schools and was a member of Dutch Valley Missinary Baptist Church. He also belonged to VFW Post 9627 in Clinton. Mr. Ford served with the Army during World War II in the Middle East Theatre. He was the recipient of two bronze stars, the good conduct medal, a purple heart, and the victory medals. Survivors include his wife, Virgie Wilson Ford, five sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas L. and Wanda Ford, Edward L. Ford, Ernest and Brenda Ford, all of Clinton, Robert H. and Wilma Ford and Howard and Flossie Ford, all of Powell, two daughters and sons-in-laws, Juanita and James McKamey and Ilene and Noah Daughtery, all of Clinton, a brother, Henry Ford of Dayton, Ohio, two sisters, Opha White and Pearl Jones of Clinton, 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several
