ELLIOTT, TROY ALBERT - age 83, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, April 4, 1999,
at his residence. He was a self-employed farmer. A member of Clinch River
Baptist Church. He was born October 2, 1915, in Harlan, Ky. He was a veteran
of World War II serving in the US Navy. Preceded in death by wife, Nellie
Elliott and son David Elliott; granddaughter, Pamela Elliott; parents, Curtis
and Nora Hawkins Elliott; brother, Charlie Elliott; sisters, Lellie Hill,
Rosie Martin and Dolly Elliott. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Juanita
and Leonard Harness of Cleveland, Tenn., Evelyn and Roger Mincey of
Cleveland, Tenn.; sons and daughters, Mackie and Geraldine Elliott of Etowah,
Tenn., Ferland and Della Elliott of Kingston, Tenn., Steve and Lisa Elliott
of Clinton; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Miller
of Lake City, Linus Cook, Ruby Powers, both of Clinton, Cora Lee Hutchison of
Lakeland, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at Holley-Gamble Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Seeber
and Rev. Ray Hill officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at
Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton. Family will receive friends 6-8:30 p.m.
Wednesday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
