Lincoln Man Dies in Missouri

A recent issue of the Ash Grove, MO, Commonwealth, had the following item of interest to relatives and friends back here in Kentucky:

James J. Dawson, was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky, August 1, 1838. He died November 14, 1914. Aged 78 years, 3 months and 13 days. He spent his youth and early manhood in Kentucky.

He came from Kentucky to Missouri, where he spent the remainder of his life. For some years he has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Ob. Martin, Mrs. Martin being his niece. He leaves four brothers and three sisters and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his departure.

After a short funeral service, conducted by J. A. Bloomer, the body was laid to rest in Ash Grove Cemetery.
