Mamie Curry, 97, of Springfield died at 5:25 a.m. Friday at Clarkston Court. She was born Dec. 21, 1894, in Waterview, Ky., the daughter of Willie Jessie and Vidia Harvey Bean. She married Buel Curry in 1917 in Sparksville, Ky., and he died in 1986. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
A resident of Springfield since 1953, Mrs. Curry was a charter member of Lakeside Christian Church.
Surviving are one son, William Edward of Vancleave, Miss.; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Eula) Brannon of Rosemont and Opal Curry of Springfield; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Bean of Columbia, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.
Services: Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Finis Curry officiating. Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park.
